Thulhaadhoo Muskulhi Dharivarun

About the Association

Thulhaadhoo Muskulhi Dharivarunge Jamiyya brings together everyone who studied at the school, to serve its students, preserve its story, and keep its batches connected.

Our history

In 1936, Maktab-ul-Hidaya opened in Thulhaadhoo, Baa Atoll — one of the early island schools of the Maldives. Generations of the island's children learned to read, write, and reason within its walls.

The school later became Thulhaadhoo School, and it has remained the island's centre of learning ever since. Few institutions in the atoll can claim ninety years of unbroken service; ours can.

The Jamiyya exists so that what the school gave us is returned in kind — through scholarships, mentorship, events that bring batches back together, and a permanent record of the school's story.
